Sawdust briquette charcoal – The best charcoal for BBQ parties

The organic material to make sawdust briquette charcoal

Different from other charcoal types, this premium charcoal is made from either wood logs or shells. The six-step process to make quality sawdust briquette charcoal

Once considered natural waste, how can sawdust be made into charcoal with so many benefits? Well, it is because we apply Japanese technology to produce it. The process of making this product includes 6 steps, starting with preparing sawdust materials.

Preparing materials

Firstly, to make sawdust briquette charcoal, we must choose a good type of wood to make high-quality sawdust charcoal. Wood material has a strong impact on the features of charcoal, for example, its burning hours. Then, we need to get our primary ingredient ready. Wood, bamboo, cork, etc. must be thinly planed and crushed into the size of 5 millimeters.

Sawdust must be thinly pressed and crushed to use.

Sieving

During the crushing process, sawdust can be contaminated with metal or plastics, etc. That is why we need to sieve the product, getting rid of tree bark, metal, or plastic. Doing this will make sure our products have the best quality possible, burning longer with more consistent heat.

Drying

Moisture content is very important in producing sawdust briquette charcoal. While excessively high moisture levels can lead to molds, the lack of moisture makes it difficult to mix with binders. Therefore, we need to dry sawdust and keep its moisture content below 12%.

Mixing with binders

To easily shape sawdust, our staff will mix the sawdust with binders. This is also an important step because each type of binder can have a different impact on our final product. Plus, we need to make sure the ratio between sawdust and binder is appropriate so that it is consistent and adhesive.

Once fully mixed with binders, we will shape sawdust briquette charcoal.

Shaping

In this step, workers will start feeding the sawdust to the briquette machine to compress and shape sawdust into a hexagonal shape. The outcome is beautiful, uniform fifty-centimeter wooden sticks, ready for the carbonization process.

Carbonizing

This is the final step in producing sawdust briquette charcoal. Our briquettes will be arranged in kilns and burned for the next 20 – 40 days. After that, our workers will take them out of the kilns and store them in the warehouse so that they can cool down.

It can be seen that producing sawdust briquette charcoal at high quality is not easy at all. To ensure its benefits, we need to ensure our materials are uncontaminated and every step is done meticulously and accurately.

How to choose high-quality sawdust briquette charcoal?

Find high-quality sawdust briquette charcoal and see how it can enhance your grilling and heating experiences.

Shape

Sawdust briquette comes in 2 main shapes: rectangular or hexagon. The hexagonal shape is considered more efficient in not only storage but also in even heat distribution. Therefore, all of our sawdust briquettes are made in this hexagonal shape!

Type of wood material

Each type of wood used in sawdust will provide different burning times and heat. To be more specific, softwood sawdust burns faster than hardwood. Plus, it is easier to ignite. Therefore, customers need to consider the raw material to make sawdust briquettes carefully before purchasing.

Density

The density of briquettes is affected by the sawdust particle size as well as the pressure in the briquetting process. The smaller particle of sawdust makes tighter and denser briquette. Meanwhile, the denser the briquettes, the longer they burn. To discover its density, customers can pay a visit to our factory and see how our sawdust is crushed and compressed!

Packaging

Not only should we pay attention to the manufacturing process but also the product packaging. Sawdust briquettes may be broken into pieces if they are not packed carefully. Plus, it is important to ensure the moisture content is suitable so that the product will not be wet and decrease quality.
